Jenson Button completes his 2 days of testing in Jerez

Jesnon Button was the McLaren driver testing the MP4-25 in Jerez for the past 2 days. If this year’s Malaysian Grand Prix has weather conditions similar to last year then Button will be glad of the wet conditions yesterday, though they weren’t even close to the torrential rains that stopped the race at 31 laps last April. Conditions were dry today and Button improved from his 6th fastest position yesterday, to 3rd fastest today.

Tomorrow will the see the turn of Lewis Hamilton taking his place behind the wheel of the all new McLaren MP4-25 in Spain. At last week’s testing he managed to go faster than Button, it’ll be interesting to see if he does the same this week. It’s baffling to see the Red Bull driven by Mark Weber so far down the table of times, I can only imagine they are testing on a heavy fuel load or are testing for something other than all out speed.

For more in depth details of the training sessions take a look at the official McLaren website.
